"Saturday at the Ritz"

More than just a movie theater with great movies, the Ritz was the place to be and to be seen.  The Ritz experience was a sensory delight--the inviting aroma and sounds of the popcorn popper, the sticky candied isles causing your shoes to make smacking noises when you walked, the horror movies that kept us up all night, the place we had our first real date.  For over four decades people of all ages enjoyed going to the picture shows at the Ritz.
