“The Pix Theater”

Once a gathering place for movie goers, the “Pix” has long been demolished.  It was located across Pascagoula Street from the Ritz Theater where the library now stands.  One Pascagoula citizen recalls going to the movies there in the late thirties when it was called the “Nelson Theater”.  In the forties, it was taken over by Joy Theaters, Inc. and was renamed the “Pix”.
