Marguerites Italian Village Hurricane Katrina took its toll in many forms. One huge loss to Pascagoula was the loss of the very successful Italian cuisine of Marguerites Italian Village. This landmark served our area for more than 25 years. Upon entering Marguerites, you were greeted by the gracious owners, Katherine Hunt and Liz OCain who knew most if not all, their patrons personally. Aromatically greeting you were the delectable Italian dishes like stuffed baked Eggplant Lamberto, Veal Milanese, She Crab Soup and my personal favorite, the Marguerites Special sautéed fresh gulf shrimp and mushrooms in a seasoned garlic butter served over buttered spaghetti. With this painting, Liz shares with all, her recipe for Marguerites Special on the back. Thank you Liz, for sharing. We miss you and your cuisine! |
