“LaFont Inn”

Built in the early 1960’s, the LaFont Inn in Pascagoula, Mississippi was owned and managed by Doug Fontaine. When built, the LaFont Inn was an upscale inn complete with high ceilings, a comfortable lounge, olympic size swimming pool, banquet rooms and a large fine dining area complete with chandeliers and fine linens. The LaFont Inn hosted ship christening parties, wedding receptions, political functions, high school proms, intimate concerts, anniversaries, swimming lessons, business meetings and reunions. The LaFont Inn has for many years hosted most civic clubs in the area, including the Kiwanis, the Lions Club, the Rotary Club and Zonta. You name it, the LaFont Inn was the place to be for many years.
