"First Baptist Church of Pascagoula"

The legacy of the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula began in 1877 with Scranton Baptist Church (pictured in the upper left).  After a series of fires, a new sanctuary was dedicated in 1944 (upper right corner).  Many current members remember this sanctuary as the place they were baptised, married, attended worship service, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other activities during their formative years.  The groundbreaking for the present sanctuary was in 1966.  This Church continues to provide strong Christian leadership in Jackson County.
