"Evangeline Restaurant"

Sunday after church seafood specialties are what I remember most about the Evangeline Restaurant. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. James Velcich, the Evangeline Restaurant was first housed at the Old Beach Park Pavilion and later moved to the Telephone Road location across from Wayne Lee’s Grocery. Miss Trina’s recipe for stuffed crabs is still available on line at www.experienceneworleans.com/recipe18.html. Just thinking about the restaurant makes me hungry.
