"The Drugstore"

The corner drugstore, complete with soda fountain, is much more than a place to fill prescriptions and please the palate.  In my hometown the drugstore soda fountain is a social event occurring each morning, noon, and afternoon to an ever changing array of "regulars" expounding on any and everything.  The tradition of gathering at the soda fountain is an experience one will not soon forget.  This watercolor of the Gulf Coast Save-Rex Pharmacy in Pascagoula, depicts a typical scene.
