It's official name is the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair and once every year in October, most residents of the county make at least one and sometimes multiple trips to the fair.  Upon arrival, you are welcomed with the mixture of smells from frying funnel cakes, cotton candy and the barnyard aromas.  Whether you are there for gumbo at the church food booths, the judging of the biggest and best vegetables, awards for prize cattle and poultry or the rides the sometimes give us a thrill or scare, there is something fun for all ages.  Copyright 2007
